Nature Is One Of The Best Healing Remedies

Have you ever wondered about why we tend to have those amazing sleeps when we come back from a weekend spent out camping, out at the lake or even after a day playing outside or even after a day on the ski hill? It’s because nature is truly healing! Nature is one of the best healing medicines and prescriptions for not only our physical health but also our mental health and mental wellbeing.

  • nature gives us that much needed break that our minds and bodies require. We need that break from work and from the ongoing and constant daily stressors.

  • we get Vitamin D from being outside… the REAL vitamin D that isn’t captured in a pill form. What does this vitamin D do for you? It helps improve our mood.

  • being outside can help decrease anxiety as you are present in your surroundings and being outside is a natural grounding practice.

  • being outside gives us a break from social media and technology; our brains need breaks too.

Looking for some great outdoor ideas to enjoy while the weather is still great? Here are a few examples:

  • go for a walk

  • sit outside and read a book & enjoy a nice beverage (hot or cold)

  • walk around the grass barefoot (this is a great grounding exercise)

  • dip your feet in the water if you have any nearby

  • go for a bike ride

  • enjoy a get together with a friend or family member outside on a patio on a deck or in a park

  • do some work in the garden or work on the fall harvest if you have one

As the fall is quickly approaching, let’s try to soak up the last bit of summer while we still can.
