Healing in Nature: The (RE)ConnectionHealing in Nature
Finding Your Peace in the Wild
Finding your peace in the wild
There’s something magical, raw, and healing about being in nature and the outdoors. Maybe it’s the simplicity of it all; no filers, no distractions, no noise and just the surroundings of the birds, fresh air, and the whisper of the trees and the leaves. The beauty and magic of it all. Only in order to see the beauty, we have to disconnect with our busy world and learn how to “re” connect with the outdoors and in nature and reconnect with ourselves. It is through this disconnection with the outside world and the reconnection with ourselves that we are able to truly be present and feel free and in tune with ourselves. When we can find this place of reconnection, a safe place, a safe haven, it’s where the magic of healing happens.
Being connected in nature and the outdoors has many therapeutic and healing benefits from reducing anxiety and calming our anxious and busy mind to reducing depression, and uplifting our mood. But beyond this, being in nature gives us a deeper connection to ourselves. It can bring solitude, perspective and serve as a reminder that there is always something much bigger then us.
Healing in nature is about finding the way back to ourselves, reconnecting with ourselves and learning to let go and trust the process. It’s about learning to trust the process of the journey of healing. So if you’re feeling lost, confused, broken or needing to find your way back to yourself, let nature be your guide to your healing journey. Let the fresh air, the magical outdoor sounds and the stillness of your surroundings work its magic. May you find not only what heals your soul, but what also fuels your soul. May you also find the things that will keep you FOREVER WILD.
